About Bavi Authentic Farms Tour

Organized by Bavi Homestead, we will depart from Hanoi and visit several working farms at Bavi countryside.

Since they are real farms, please be aware that there might be animal smell and dirt roads. Goats and Lambs may or may not be out the field depend on the center schedule.

Please ask for mask and mosquito spray from our guide in case you would like to use. For farming activities, we will provide farmer clothes (and muck boot if needed).

As of 2024, 35% Vietnamese are farmers. Farms are almost all household size and much smaller than their counterpart in the United States, Europe, or Taiwan. Because of our tropical climate, animal husbandry is also much more challenging.

The tour will lean heavily on the educational aspect so it would be beneficial if you are open minded and not afraid to get in the dirt.

For a brief duration of the tour, we will get to ride bike through a village (choose regular, mountain bike, twin seats). You can opt to stay in car if prefer.

The tour is entirely depended on weather. If there is heavy rain, thunder storm, we will cancel and refund as late as 60 minutes before the departure.

For best experience, our group will target from at least 6 to 14 people. Aside from the higher altitude National Park, Bavi temperature is primary identical to Hanoi.

During the warm season from late March to early September, we recommend shorts and T-shirt. Sunscreen is not required but would be helpful. While you can bring your own hat, we also provide straw hat.

During the cold season from late October to early March, we recommend two to three layers of clothes, preferably light coat. In January and February, Bavi can get cold and chilly due to high humidity. A pair of gloves and a beanie is good.

Since Bavi is right under the National Park jungle, mosquito are unavoidable depended on the seasons. Bug spray is with our tour guide.
