Rice and Veggie Farm

Before the popularity of cement, Bamboo Clay House (along with Stilt house) is the main traditional Vietnamese farmer’s home made using available resources right on site.

Archeologists found rice fossil dated from the new stone age era 7000 - 1700BCE in the Hoa Binh - Bac Son area. When the 4.2-kilo year event (severe long term drought) happened, there was a rise of migration from South China to South East Asia. Thus increased rice production and brought in new cultivating techniques. As Vietnamese gradually descend from high mountains and caves to the delta (as the sea receded). We created the Red delta river rice civilization.

Organic Veggie

Each year, Vietnam imported an average of USD 500 millions to USD 900 millions worth of agricultural chemical and pesticide from China. As our cancer rate rises more than 200.000 new cases per year, we want to ensure our guests have safe food while vising our homestead.
