K9 Da Chong Memorial Park
Nestled amidst the towering mountains and forests of Ba Vì district, the K9 Đá Chông historical site stands as a renowned landmark in Vietnam. This place is closely associated with President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of the nation, who dedicated his entire life to the cause of national liberation and reunification.
The K9 Đá Chông historical site spans a vast area of 234 hectares, primarily consisting of hills, forests, and two large lakes. The scenery here is distinctive, characterized by sharp, pointed rocks resembling spikes, from which the place derives its name.
Surrounded by the pristine nature of the Ba Vì mountain range, the K9 Đá Chông historical site once served as an important base for the Central Committee and President. Historical records indicate that in May 1957, while visiting the 316th Division for a military exercise, President Ho Chi Minh stopped here for lunch. From that moment on, he sensed the special spiritual energy of this land, with the Tản Viên Sơn range to the East, the Thiết Sơn range to the West, the gentle Đà River flowing below, and the expansive view from the peak of U Rồng mountain overlooking Sơn Tây town, Hanoi, Hòa Bình, and Phú Thọ.
Since the area is under military management, please dress politely and register your name at the front desk. Camera inside the Ho Chi Minh temple is not allowed (Freely outside).
From the entrance, go inside to register, then walk around the lake to go to the Temple, from then on to the Resident place, Working houses, and finally Ho Chi Minh transporting cars store house.
